Well as we gear up for the holidays, we all need more space in the kitchen, so I’m here to share some recent remodels showcasing peninsulas & islands!
1) Islands are floating separate from the perimeter cabinetry.
Let’s examine how we can help you extend your countertop and seating needs! Also, keep in mind anything is possible when it comes to the shape of your island. So have fun with the idea of creating a unique shaped countertop space to fit your specific kitchen needs and layout!
Don’t forget it should never be a chore to redesign your kitchen… have fun and dream out loud!!!
We here at SpaceMakers love when you share even your craziest ideas with us. We’re just as excited as you to create something that adds functional pizzazz to your newly remodeled kitchen so dream away!!
Having over 20 years of experience under our belt, we thoroughly enjoy the challenge and are full of knowledge to execute your dream kitchen.
That being said let’s take a look at some islands and peninsulas!
Islands
This island was specifically designed to be handicap accessible with the end dropped to a height that would work for a wheelchair 🙂
Show off your beautiful glassware with this open shelved island end.
This design makes it easy to have conversations without getting a kink in your neck.
Expand your kitchen by removing a wall and put in a large island that’s great for entertaining.
Need extra storage? There’s standard 24″ deep cabinetry on one side with pull-out recycling bins, cabinet with adjustable roll-trays for your mixer, and extra deep drawers for pots & pans and the stool side has 12″ deep cabinets with adjustable shelves.
This island contrasts to the perimeter with a Java stain and overhang on two sides allows for seating on both sides.
This island is extra long for storing your microwave, recycling bins, deep pots & pans drawers, cabinet with roll trays and still room to seat three people.
Peninsulas
The slight curve makes this island aesthetically appealing when walking into the room and a little deeper overhang at the center.
This is a signature SpaceMakers uniquely designed, rounded, soft contemporary peninsula.
This is another of SpaceMakers’ signature designs that can be designed longer or shorter, more angular or curved, depending on your wants, needs and functionality with an appealing look.
This peninsula is right off their deck where they grill so the storage is near the sliding glass door where it’s easy access to their grilling utensils.
Here’s another signature SpaceMakers design that’s a variation of the earlier design but made to fit the wants, needs and style of this homeowner. Lots of drawers for organizing. Behind the peninsula there’s 42″ of space which is spacious as we typically do 36″ minimum.
Well I hope this gets your creative juices flowing!
Dream away!
