Well for all of you wavering on whether it’s time to remodel your kitchen or not…this is the blog for you!!

First of all, according to Realtors, the most important room remodel is the KITCHEN which is the heart of the home not only for enhanced family and entertainment living but for RESALE as well!! (FYI one of the biggest returns on investment!!!)

I can’t tell you how many times we hear people who are remodeling to sell say they wished they would’ve remodeled their kitchen sooner as we are working on it.  To spend that kind of money and finally get the kitchen you dreamed of and not get to enjoy it is just plain silly and disappointing.

I remember feeling bad when I finally decided to paint and fix up my house to sell and when I was done I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner so I could’ve enjoyed it… can you imagine how people feel when remodeling a kitchen just to move!!!!!!

I guess what I’m saying is if you are thinking of remodeling your kitchen don’t forget to ask yourself a few questions like…

And even if you decide to move you got to enjoy it in the meantime:)

Don’t get caught into the we really will be moving ..at some point… phase.  Are you one of those couples who says we plan to stay in this house for 3 years, oh five years, and then suddenly it’s 10 years?  If you will be living in your home for any length of time shouldn’t you be able to enjoy the new amenities even if the time is limited? And potential buyers will see how much you love your home!

3. You’d be missing out on some amazing life changing amenities that kitchens now provide. (recycling bins, faucets that don’t need you to touch them, indoor grill to get you through our long winters, a new island that you can fit your family at for homework and eating.)

Not only do kitchens bring a big return on investment but they’re the most popular remodel, especially, since 9-11 as people want to entertain more from home and spend more time with family and friends. And the most popular kitchen remodel is to remove the wall between the kitchen and living room or between the kitchen and dining room…to expand the area and accommodate more people and truly enjoy the use of your kitchen by making it more functional.

Many people are doing away with formal dining rooms and adding more cabinetry into the space such as a buffet or bar and with the wall removed for expansion one can have a large enough island to seat more people. The added storage is nice, too, so you don’t have the clutter.
